GREEN VISION

Wega’s core production centre is the factory inaugurated in Susegana (Treviso), in 2007. The company’s flagship operation covers a surface area of more than 20,000 m², making it the single largest factory producing espresso coffee machines in the world.
The efficient use of production lines includes automatic shutdown and anti-dispersion systems and the use of the best available market technologies for managing production waste. The facility uses smart-reprocessing techniques for maximum recycling. We’ve also developed systems to recover materials used in the trial stage, including the purifying and reuse of water used during the testing of the machines. Our regard for the environment extends to the proper use of lighting, with an illumination system ideated to self-adjust according to external light. We are attentive to heating and electric consumption in general as well. Our green vision can rely on the involvement of our employees, thanks to specific internal policies and the more than 150 hours of training we dedicate each year to the efficient use of energy sources.

Wega’s green vision has been certified since 2009, when we introduced our Green Line machines featuring energy-saving technology. The Wegaconcept machine is the brainchild and foremost model of this brand.

Likewise, our goal is to promote harmonious and intelligent growth with respect for the environment that surrounds us. Today our research is aimed at producing machines with a low environmental impact: our Green Line is an ambassador for this project.

Software in able to detect and control the activity of the machine by selecting automatically the mode ON, STAND BY and OFF based by the best energic strategy.
These modes also manually importable.

Besides to consent a energy saving the multi-boiler technology, thanks to its separated management of the powers into the single boilers, allow toincrease the heating stability into the erogation groups to obtain the perfect espresso.

Thanks to the use of separate boilers for each individual brewing group and a system that memorizes the workload, our technology provides certified energy savings of 47.6% in standby mode and 30% while in use.

Particular attention has been dedicated to the operational safety of the Wegaconcept. The Wegaconcept offers 5 separate safety features on the services boiler, and 4 separate safety features on the individual coffee brewing boilers.

TECHNOLOGY

Wega machines transform the engineering genius found in nature into technology, concentrating all the aroma of coffee into a gesture that’s visually perfect.

This technology allows the operator to set the boost function for intense work periods during the day, and where additional power is required, for coffee brewing, hot water supply, and steam output, enhancing and maintaining the stability of the machine.

The supply of steam for foaming milk, with drier characteristics, and a lower percentage of condensation, allows for a higher compactness and yield of the micro foam. This is achieved by an innovative system on the inside of the boiler which enhances the dryness of the steam leaving the boiler, and onwards to the steam wand.

Technology that allows the attainment of maximum brewing extraction from the coffee, thanks to an accurate monitoring of the water temperature, within 0,1°C. The above allows for an accurate temperature diagnosis in real time, by thermo regulators with a high PWM(power with modulation)
resolution. Essentially, the regulation of the power supply, based on the water temperature.
